Mr. Miguel Pardo Bustillo, new president of the Cluster Marítimo Español
Miguel Pardo Bustillo had been elected as the president of the Clúster Marítimo Espàñol (CME), an association that, in its second year of life, has 43 members from naval industry, shipyards, engineering, auxiliary industry and institutions related with the sea from a technological, scientific or financial point of view. Between this companies is Navalia. International Shipbulilding Exhibition which will be held from the 18th to the 20th of may 2010 in Vigo. Miguel Pardo is a naval engineer and the president of the Instituto Marítimo Español up to now, he fit with the plural nature of the CME, because during his professional life he has worked in naval companies, shipyards, oil companies, training centres, state-owned companies or private ones, multinationals and SME as well as jobs of technician, commercial, operative or management field.
Among his numerous professional positions, he have been Commercial Director of ATESA in the Peugeot-Citröen group, Corporative Development Manager of the shipyard Unión Naval de Levante, Fleet Director of Empetrol, Commercial Director of Repsol, Technical Director of Fletamentos Marítimos, President of the Asociación de Ingenieros Navales and Vice Dean of the Naval Engineer School.
He replace José Luis Cerezo, and he will relying on the technical support of Innovamar for this new time, that will be in charge of the CME technical secretariat. In his elected act, he said that he set out to consolidate a real cluster in the Spanish maritime sector, in which the different industrial, economic and research activities are represented.
