Factoría Naval in Marín Will Build 11 Ships Valued on 270 Million Euros
The Norwegian shipping line Esvagt, from the Maersk group, signed a contract for building platform standby ships. The Marín Shipyard signed yesterday a contract with the Norwegian shipping line Esvagt, from the Maersk group, for building two Standby support ships for oil rigs at the North Sea. The budget for both ships adds up to fifty million euros and their hand over is planed for 2009.
Both ships can be added to the 5 cargo ships, 90 meters long, and the four tugs ordered to the shipyard before. The order book reaches a value of 270 million euros on ships. (Source: Faro de Vigo)
