Five Blue Core-Incubazul start-ups are travelling with Cadiz Free Trade Zone to Navalia in Vigo to present their projects

The State Representative at Cadiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, will promote in the Galician city the full potential and strengths of the Blue Economy and innovation ecosystem being developed in the province of Cádiz

Cadiz Free Zone is taking part once again at Navalia 2026 shipbuilding trade exhibition , held in Vigo from 19 to 21 May, where it will showcase the Blue Economy and innovation ecosystem being developed by Cadiz Free Trade Zone in the province of Cádiz, which is already a leading hub for the sector. In fact, five of the start-ups participating in the Blue Core-Incubazul programmes will be present at the Galician exhibition , specifically Action Tarcker, Blue Step, The Talent Sea, Black Sand Marine and EONSEA.

The five start-ups will be present in the exhibitors’ area alongside Cádiz Free Trade Zone and its Blue Economy projects, Blue Core-Incubazul, which will showcase the full potential and strengths of the Blue Economy and innovation ecosystem taking shape in the province of Cadiz. This ecosystem is being reinforced day by day with new partnerships and initiatives, making it a benchmark for the sector both national and international.
In addition to a strong contingent of companies from Cadiz such as Surcontrol and Frizonia, Navalia will also be attended by firms based in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, including Cayco, Elecam Group and Quest Global, which form part of the most representative technological and innovative business community within Cadiz Free Trade Zone

Vigo is becoming the epicentre of the shipbuilding industry, and Cadiz Free Zone remains committed to an event that provides valuable contacts within a sector closely linked to the Blue Economy. Navalia is set to host its tenth edition with over 600 exhibitors and is establishing itself as an international benchmark for the naval sector; in 2026, it will feature 602 exhibitors, representing an increase of nearly 13%, occupying the entire available exhibition space across the venue’s four halls.

This growth is also reflected in the technological and commercial scope of the event, which will grow from just over 1,000 brands represented in 2024 to around 1,200 at this year’s event, consolidating its ability to generate business opportunities and attract innovation. Arnau also highlighted the fair’s global nature, with a significant increase in international participation, particularly from Asia, and the inclusion of new countries such as Bulgaria, Chile, Egypt, Hong Kong and Ireland.

It is also worth noting the close collaboration between Cadiz Free Trade Zone and Navalia, which was further strengthened by the recent Blue Zone Forum held last September, when the two organisations jointly organised this major Blue Economy event in Cádiz. The forum has been held annually since 2023 and has made the city the hub of this sector.
