TMS has been awarded the Intermares project, a key step in continuing to drive innovation and excellence in the marine conservation sector! The contract covers the design, installation, operation, and evaluation of an innovative technological system for maritime and aerial surveillance in the protected area: Mundaka Estuary – Cape Ogoño (Natura 2000 Network).
The system will integrate state-of-the-art marine radar, CCTV cameras, and specialized software for the detection, tracking, and analysis of unauthorized recreational vessels and drone flights!
This project will significantly improve the management, protection, and governance capacity of the area, in line with the objectives of the Biodiversity Foundation LIFE, IP, PAF, and INTEMARES programs, and establish a replicable model for other marine protected areas.
