Navalia receives Best Maritime Activities company Award at the 64th AINE International Congress
Emenasa Group won the award for Best Company Related to Profession, and the winner of 2024 Best Shipbuilding Competition went to "Heroínas de Sálvora" by Astilleros Zamakona for Sasemar.
Navalia has just received the award for best maritime activities company, within the framework of the 64th Naval Engineering and Maritime Industry Congress held in Gijon. With this award, which was received by its director, Javier Arnau, AINE recognizes Navalia's work and contributions with COIN and AINE over many years. And especially in 2024, trade fair edition where, jointly with the Spanish Association of Naval and Ocean Engineers, the Innovation Zone is being created, giving entrepreneurs and businesspeople the opportunity to showcase their innovative projects, supporting and encouraging Naval Engineering and Blue Economy innovation.
Spanish Naval and Ocean Engineers Association presents these awards each year to recognize the excellence, professionalism, and contributions to society of naval engineers and industry professionals.
Emenasa Group received the award for Best Company Related to the Profession, and 2024’s winner for Best Shipbuilding Competition was "Heroinas de Sálvora." The new multipurpose offshore tugboat of Spanish Maritime Rescue and Safety Society (SASEMAR), built at Astilleros Zamakona.
To conclude, AINE’s Special Award went to Romualdo Alvargonzález Figaredo and Gonzalo Alvargonzález Figaredo of Naviera Erships, who sadly passed away in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
INNOVATION ZONE
The Naval Engineering and Maritime Industry Congress 64th edition featured an Innovation Zone for the first time in its history, thanks to the support of Navalia and Ponti & Partners.
Sixteen highly innovative projects participated in this initiative, focusing on topics as diverse as autonomous vessels, submarines, immersive technologies, and next-generation fuels to revolutionize naval engineering.
Entrepreneurs and companies from several regions of Spain, including Asturias, Castile and Leon, Galicia, the Basque Country, Valencia, Andalusia, and Catalonia, presented their projects this year. Companies from Peru also joined Innovation Zone thus reaffirming its international reach.
And as already took place at Navalia 2024 Innovation Zone, promoted by Vigo’s Free Trade Zone Consortium, the Best Innovative Project 2025 Award was given to Troyan Drones.
