Maritime Perte approves the tractor project led by Soermar and regional clusters

TECNAVAL 2025 is made up of 8 primary projects focused on diversification, digitalization, and sustainability and in which 22 companies and 10 autonomous communities participate.

The Ministry of Industry and Tourism, after more than a year since the submission of the application and an hard process, loaded with administrative work, has just published the final resolution of the PERTE of the Maritime Ecosystem, in which it proposes a non-refundable subsidy of €7,475,177.10 for TECNAVAL 2025 tractor project, led by SOERMAR and the regional clusters ACLUNAGA, ASIME, Balearic Marine Cluster, MarCA Cluster and Foro Marítimo Vasco.

TECNAVAL 2025 is a tractor project that facilitates the access of SMEs to the Strategic projects of the Business Fabric Recovery Plan (PERTE). It is made up of 8 primary projects focused on diversification, digitalization and sustainability and involves 22 companies and 10 autonomous communities. The companies have worked very intensely to launch these projects, and, finally, the concession resolution has been published, achieving a subsidy volume of 58.41%. After a first analysis of the results published by the Ministry, we can state that, from the 190 million euros available to apply in the maritime PERTE, only 81 million have finally been allocated, with an average level of subsidy on the bankable budget of 51. 18%.

The subsidy granted to the 17 private shipyards that participate in the maritime PERTE call amounts to €22,178,042 compared to the €8,777,861 granted to the only public shipyard that participates. This means funds allocated by the Administration of a total of €30,955,904.

It is worth highlighting the €49,801,061 granted to the complementary shipbuilding industry, which represents over 50% of the allocated funds.
It is important, now payment management is very fast, so that companies receive the allocated funds, it is necessary to release the economic pressure on companies, and especially on the SMEs participating in the project, in order to achieve the objectives set in the established deadlines.

It is important to be able to focus on the development of new technologies and their industrial application and eliminate the economic pressure of the availability of funds. After thirteen months of waiting, we received the Ministry's publication with satisfaction for the level of subsidy granted compared to the accepted budget, concerned about the execution deadlines and the need for aid to develop the training plan associated with the tractor project (in PERTE of the Maritieme Ecosystem has not been financed, while in PERTE of Electric Vehicles has it).

SOERMAR and all the companies have made a great effort, which is now comes into obtaining these European funds that we will use to apply to shipbuilding industry the technology that allows companies in the sector to develop innovations applicable in the field of sustainability, digitalization, and diversification.
