Armón launches in Navia two fishing vessels for Iberconsa and negotiates a third

The ships will be engaged in wild shrimp fishing

Asturian shipbuilder Armón has just launched two fishing vessels commissioned by Iberconsa in her shipyard in Navia. The Galician group, which has a fleet of 50 vessels, will incorporate for the first time new ships and has advanced negotiations with Armón for the construction of a third fishing vessel to be delivered in 2022.

The ships launched in Navia, blessed by the parish priest of the town, Manuel Alvarez, have more than 43 meters in length and capacity for 36 crew. The construction required more than 13 months of work, a team of more than 30 people and an investment of more than 26 million euros. Iberconsa, with presence in five continents, is the first fishing operator in Argentina. For there the two new vessels will set course when delivered in March. They will be engaged in wild shrimp fishing.
