Rodman gains momentum in the range of recreational craft with two new models

The company, present at the Barcelona Boat Show, announced that it is building two patrol boats, the "Rodman 33" and the "Rodman 1040 Evolution" for the Xunta de Galicia.

The RODMAN POLYSHIPS factory in Moaña has gained momentum in the recreational craft sector. This Galician company, present at the Barcelona Boat Show since yesterday, has announced that it will launch two new models: the Rodman 33 Offshore and the Rodman 1040 Evolution, next spring. While negotiations to build new passenger catamarans and patrol boats are advancing, Rodman is betting on "avant-garde design and functionality" in its range of Spirit, Muse and Fishing&Cruiser models.

Rodman will use the occasion of the Barcelona exhibition to present the new features added to the Spirit models. In particular, they incorporate two glass windows in the hull with integrated side scuttles and different options in wood and interior decoration. The models displayed at the Barcelona fair are the Spirit 42 Coupé and the Spirit 31 Hard Top.

As for next spring, the Moaña shipyard is focussing on the 10-11 metre segment with open outboard engine and central console. The Rodman 33 Offshore is able to navigate to more than 45 knots, maintaining both safety and comfort. Moreover, there will be the Rodman 1040 Evolution, created together with Barcelona Yacht Design, but which maintains the key attributes of the Rodman brand, with a new design and functionality.

Shipyard

On the other hand, the shipyard has confirmed that they are about to announce new contracts. Company sources explained that negotiations are at a "very advanced" stage in the passenger catamaran segments - it is currently building units for the shipping company Trasmapi- and also high-speed patrol boats.

The shipyard has signed a contract this year for building two new patrol boats for the Galician Coastguard. The Moaña factory has begun production of the Rodman 56 (length 17 metres and maximum speed 39 knots) after "defining the project".
