China Sonangol order 50 vessels to Rodman and want to aim for its purchase
China Sonangol, Chinese subsidiary of the state oil company of Angola, proposed last September an option to purchase of the 90% of Rodman group, that would be rejected by the Galician company, and that would include the two divisions: Metalships&Docks and Rodman Polyships. Finally, last 22nd of September they sign an order of 50 small vessels for Angola: 40 patrol boats and 10 catamarans for 350 passengers. The cost of this order is 25 million Euros.
The agreement includes the option of purchase of the 90% of the company leaded by Manuel Fernández for more than 50 millions Euros, although this amount has not been verified. (Source: Faro de Vigo)
