NAVALIA promotes the naval sector and the Galician auxiliary industry in France and China
The International Shipbuilding Exhibition of Vigo visit this week France and China to participate in two important events. Navalia's team will visit the MARITIMA exhibition at Paris and the Inmex at Guangzhou. From the 8th to the 12th of December Paris celebrates Maritima, the 6th edition of a biennial event which aim is to serve as a platform for exchanges between the key players in the sector from France and abroad : shipbuilding and ship repair yards, parts manufacturers, engine builders, service companies, local authorities... And just because it is a local exhibition (multinational companies exhibiting are represented by their local office) the aim of the NAVALIA's team is to contact those companies to convince them to participate in the 2012 edition with its own pavilion.
Maritima is the reflection of a dynamic sector, perpetually changing on the economic, social, technological and environmental level. The only French trade show dedicated to the entire industry, Maritima has established itself as a tremendous showcase for the maritime economy as well as French and international know-how. The French event presents the importance of the maritime sector for the French economy and provides the industry with some answers in the face of changes linked to the world economic (rising cost of fuel) and environmental (maritime safety, sustainable development, protection of the coastline, etc.) situation.
From the 8th to the 10th fo December INMEX China takes place, an important platform for the maritime industry, engineering and ports develop, which has grown to be the largest meeting platform of the worldwide maritime community in the Pearl River Delta Region. In Guangzhou more than 600 exhibitors will be represented showing the last technologies in shipbuilding and ship repair. This biennial event has also a local character, something very positive for NAVALIA's organizers. Countries as China, with a big potential in the sector, will be really important in the 2012 edition. Therefore the aim of this visit is to promote NAVALIA in order to Chinese companies include it on its marketing plan.
The development of the shipbuilding industry of China is on the increase since 2003. it's great capacity of production seems that, for 2015, the country becomes the main shipbuilder in the world, reaching then an annual capacity of 30 millions tones. Furthermore, China is a real market niche for the auxiliary naval industry, because its technological capacity is not enough to produce big or high technology boats.
