Besteiro places Galician shipbuilding in Navalia as an example of industrial recovery and international projection

The Secretary General of the Galician Socialist Party (PSdeG) highlighted the role of the PERTE program, digitalization, and sustainability in the changing landscape of Galician shipyards, and described Navalia as the "flagship for the world" of a competitive and technologically advanced sector.

José Ramón Gómez Besteiro, General Secretary of the PSdeG, emphasized the current strength of the Galician shipbuilding sector at Navalia, describing it as an example of economic recovery after previous periods of crisis. He attributed this change to policies implemented by the central government, particularly the PERTE program's support for shipyard digitalization, environmental sustainability, and financial incentives for shipbuilding.

During his visit, he also underscored Navalia's role as an international showcase for a "highly competitive" and "strongly technological" sector, linked to Vigo and Galicia's ability to project themselves globally.
