Navalia 2026 strengthens Technical Program with over 30 conferences focusing on innovation, defence and sustainability
The trade fair will raise shipbuilding industry major challenges over the three days with international experts and high-value strategic content.
Over the course of three days, Navalia will once again establish itself as a leading forum for the dissemination of knowledge, innovation, and international trends within the shipbuilding industry, thanks to its technical conference program aimed at professionals and offered free of charge to attendees. In this tenth edition, which will take place from May 19 to 21, 2026, the exhibition strengthens its commitment to technical content with a program that includes more than 30 activities, including conferences, round tables, and presentations across two main conference rooms: the Deputación de Pontevedra Room and the Xunta de Galicia Room.
With the participation of experts from leading companies, technology centres, shipyards, and top-tier institutions, the program will address the main challenges facing shipbuilding industry in a context of global transformation. Key topics will include decarbonization of maritime transport and alternative fuels, energy transition, digitalization of processes through artificial intelligence, as well as the development of solutions in energy efficiency, sustainability, and advanced maintenance.
The program will once again include, as in previous editions, a dedicated space for the Navy. Vigo Exhibition Institute Auditorium will host a session focused on defence industry and technological challenges facing the Navy towards 2050. This event will bring together representatives from Spanish Navy, industry, and technology companies in high-level roundtable discussions addressing key issues such as the development of industrial capabilities, cybersecurity, innovation applied to defence, and technological challenges in strategic programs. The session will also feature institutional speeches and an analysis of the future of military shipbuilding in Spain, consolidating its role as one of the strategic pillars of this edition.
Navalia technical program will also include highly relevant content such as the role of marine robotics, applied artificial intelligence, and the use of data in the maritime environment. In addition, practical case studies will be presented on model-based engineering, augmented and virtual reality, remote control systems, and new technologies applied to safety, corrosion, and sustainable coatings.
The technical sessions will also feature a dedicated Innovation Zone, where projects related to the blue economy, marine energy generation, drones, and autonomous vessels will be showcased, reinforcing Navalia’s role as a meeting point for industry, talent, and innovation.
With this program, Navalia reaffirms its position not only as a trade fair but also as a strategic and technology transfer platform, where current challenges are analysed and future solutions for the shipbuilding industry will be developed. VIEW PROGRAM
