Navalia strengthens its global presence renewing its International Trade Fair certification

The Vigo Navalia trade fair has maintained this official recognition, granted by the Spanish Government, uninterruptedly since 2008, endorsing its international standing and its solid and sustained growth.

Navalia will hold its new edition, the tenth, once again supported by the International Trade Fair certificate, a distinction awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business, through the State Secretariat for Trade. The fair, which will take place in Vigo from May 19th to 21st, 2026, thus reaffirms a recognition from the Spanish Government consecutively since 2008.
Obtaining this certification is due to compliance with a series of demanding criteria, including the volume of international exhibitors and visitors, the regularity and track record of the fair, the support of the shipbuilding sector itself, and the positive evolution of the event throughout its various editions. These factors are complemented by the favourable reports issued by the Regional Directorate of Trade and by ICEX (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade).

Additionally, the Ministry particularly values Navalia's significant representation of manufacturing and exporting companies, as well as the existence of a strong Spanish export offering with international reach. Another key factor is the strategic location of the trade fair, Vigo, one of the areas with the highest concentration of shipbuilding activity in the country.

Beyond the institutional prestige, Navalia's inclusion in the Official Calendar of International Trade Fairs represents a significant boost in terms of visibility and outreach, as the event is promoted through administrative bodies, business organizations, and the network of Spanish Trade Offices abroad, which disseminate this information to economic operators and international markets.

With this renewal, Navalia consolidates its position as Spain's leading naval trade fair and one of the most important in Europe, at a crucial time for the industry. This latest edition of the fair is also particularly significant, as it marks its tenth year and more than twenty years of operation, given the event's biennial nature.

Along with Navalia, other Galician trade fairs that have this official certification for the corresponding year are Funergal, Abanca Semana Verde de Galicia, Termatalia, Conxemar and Xantar, which confirms Galicia's position as a leading territory in the international trade fair field.
