The Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce confirms strong defence-related opportunities for the naval sector despite tariff uncertainty, Navalia reports

This week, the director of Navalia, Javier Arnau, is visiting the Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, the world-leading cruise event, that celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. During the trip, Arnau met with Mónica Vázquez, director of Abanca USA and president of the Spanish – U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Florida. Vázquez shared the promising business opportunities emerging for the naval and ancillary industries, driven by the significant investments planned by Trump’s administration in the field of defence and military sectors.
Although the new world trade order is in constant change “and despite what the situation might suggest, the establishment of companies in the U.S will be facilitated. This country seeks talent and is willing to import it”, Navalia’s director explained.
As a member of ACLUNAGA’s board of directors, Arnau also revealed interest in naval-related companies such as engineering firms, which provide a significant added value and will also benefit from favourable conditions for stablishing operations in the U.S., offering a competitive advantage in the face of tariffs.
