Navalia Participates in the 3rd Offshore Wind Congress in Cádiz with an Eye on Its 2025 Meeting
The organization has also attended Euronaval exhibition in Paris.
This week marks another period of intense activity for Navalia organizers, participating in the 3rd Offshore Wind Congress in Cádiz, a key hub for offshore wind energy future development in Spain. It is worth noting that Cádiz has been selected as the host city for the next edition of Navalia Meeting, making attendance at the congress an opportunity to advance numerous aspects of the upcoming event.
As a member of the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE), Navalia was among the sponsoring companies of this 3rd Offshore Wind Congress, which focused on analysing challenges facing floating offshore wind energy deployment in Spain. The country possesses the necessary industrial and logistical framework to support the entire offshore wind value chain. However, industry experts in the wind and shipbuilding sectors agree that further regulatory progress is needed to facilitate the first auction by the end of 2025 and to create a timeline that ensures the installation of 3 GW of offshore wind power by 2030, as outlined in the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (Pniec).
Javier Arnau, director of Navalia, held several meetings at the organization's stand during this 3rd congress with national and international companies from the wind energy sector interested in participating in the 10th edition of Navalia. As previously announced by the president of the International Shipbuilding Exhibition, José García Costas, efforts are underway to include a pavilion dedicated to offshore wind energy in the 2026 edition.
Additionally, its commercial team travelled to Paris to attend EURONAVAL 2024, thanks to a trade mission organized by Aclunaga, which Navalia is member of and board member. The Parisian exhibition is a must-attend event for the naval industry and global navies, showcasing the best and most innovative equipment for naval forces and security agencies.
