Francisco Conde inaugurates the first meeting of the Executive Committee for Navalia 2016

10 months before the celebration of the event from Vigo, the hired space is more than the 50% of the exhibition center, hired by exhibitors from all over the world

The International Shipbuilding Exhibition of Vigo continues the way to its sixth edition, that will be held from the 24th to the 26th of May 2016. And this morning they held the first meeting of the executive committee, in which takes part the Economy and Industry Regional Secretary , Francisco Conde. It is a working group in which all sectors related directly or indirectly with the naval industry are included. The president of Navalia, José García Costas, has thank “the work and effort they carried out”.
This year the committee has new members from international companies as Vulkan Couplings, and Galician brands as the shipyard Metalships, Abanca or the University of Vigo.
Regarding occupation levels, Navalia begun in September of 2014 the commercialization of the event for 2016. Nowadays the exhibition has more than the 50% of the space hired by exhibitors from all over the world.
Companies from Germany, Holland, France or Italy as well as Latin American countries as Mexico or Uruguay have confirmed their presence. Once again, the aim is to exceed 500 exhibitors, 75 represented countries and 25.000 professional visitors.
During the meeting, organizers explained the promotional agenda that take them to exhibitions in Germany or Norway and to participate in trade missions in countries as Lithuania, Latvia, Finland or South Africa.
Navalia is not only one of the most important naval exhibitions but also pretends to be a reference in training, that is why the executive committee have bet for the wind marine energy in which they are working to achieve the main agents of a sector that could turn into the future for our shipyards and auxiliary industry.
