The Freire's deepfreeze trawler vessel for Norway will count on a diesel-electric propulsion

The deepfreeze trawler vessel of 69 meters long hired by the Norwegian owner Prestfjord Havfiske to the yard from Vigo Construcciones Navales P. Freire will count on a diesel -electric propulsion, according Rolls Royce, company that have award the design and equipment of the vessel for 7 million Pounds. The project will be 19 months long and will mean around 250.000 hours of work, the same as 100 jobs. The shipyard from Vigo also progress in the other two projects achieved last year: the Indonesian training ship and the Kuwaiti oceanographic, pending of the coming into force of contracts. The last vessel built by Freire was the RSS Discovery, considered the most advanced oceanographic.
