Freire?s welders will anchor the Adelaide for being transport
Freire shipyard has been selected to design and install the fastenings that will brace the military hull to the semi-submarine deck. This structure is the key for the operation success, because it will depend on it that the LHD Adelaide runs from Vigo to Australia without being affected by the sea movements during the two months of voyage. The deputy manager from the Vigo's shipyard, Marcos Freire, celebrates with this reasoning the contract with Dockwise: "is the proof of a new proposal that consist on the diversification our services taking into account the competitors in shipbuilding and the lack of orders". Carrying out the Holland requirements, Freire should finish its mission in one week, that will begin when the Blue Marlin load the LHD Adelaide and dock in the Maritime Station.
Apart from Freire other companies from Vigo have participated in the construction of this vessel. For example, the kitchen, cold store, self-service and laundry as well as its two elevators were built by Novofri and Enor.
