The Reservations to exhibit at NAVALIA 2012 already exceed the last edition

Vigo's Zona Franca delegate, Teresa Pedrosa, takes offices as a member of the Executive Committee of the Exhibition. The Vigo organization will travel to Morocco from 23 to 27 April to meet with shipyards and ship-owners in the country. Just two months remaining for the fourth edition of Navalia opens its doors, and contracts for the reservation of the exhibition space are coming. As its said by the exhibition and the Muestralo Group director, Javier Arnau, nowadays the square meters reserved has already exceed the total of the occupied on the last edition, which is why the management team of the international Naval industry exhibition of Vigo thinks in fit out an outdoor area in the Ifevi in case if it's necessary.
Unlike other editions, the fair is receiving many last minute hiring, especially national exhibitors, something which shows the upturn of the national sector. The international exhibitors seems to has a Better health ,its occupation is more than the 60% of the 30,000 square meters of fair.
Besides , there are many foreign delegations that has already requested their work agendas , so the collaboration with the industry and economy Consellería, through the IGAPE, and chambers of Commerce will be fundamental. This was one of the points raised in the Executive Committee of Navalia, which had as a guest the new delegate of the Vigo's Zona Franca , Teresa Pedrosa, who also took office as a member of that Committee.
The Navalia organization wants to collaborate in the installation of foreign companies in Vigo related to the shipbuilding sector. The 70% Of the total cost of a boat comes from outside, as there are a minimum of companies related to the technological aspect of manufacturing (engines, propellers, etc), by which a big part of the boat is imported. The Exhibition management team proposed Teresa Pedrosa that the available lands of the Zona Franca (Porto do Molle and Valladares) can be available to foreign naval sector companies to be settled in Vigo, something that had been already happened with the automotive industry, and turned the South of Galicia into a European reference.
Arnau also reiterated the international role that the exhibition Organization make in the two previous years of the event. Here the director of Muestralo group explained the Navalia wants to be the "marketing tool that the Galician naval sector hasn't ". "Our goal is that, with the work we do from fair to fair, we can help our industry to have contacts with other countries that had not arrived yet," he said. As well, and after a full calendar of international promotion, in which they has taken the event to different countries but also shipyards and auxiliary industry companies, the organization is planning to hold a meeting with representatives of a Nigerian company delegation interested in attending the fair, as well as a trade mission to Morocco (Casablanca and Agadir) from 23 to 27 April to visit shipyards and ship-owners
There are many countries that are renewing their fishing fleets, and Morocco, with 22 fishing ports, is one of them. Fishing, is one of the country's main natural resources, it represents the 2.5% of the national GDP and employs 450,000 persons. The country is today one of the hot spots with great business potential for the naval sector, nowadays is immersed in the construction of the port in Tangier, the so-called "Tangier - Méditerranée", requiring companies and specialized manpower.

The infrastructure expected to become the future terminal of the 2nd commercial port of Tangiers, in 2015, also wants to compete with the port of Algeciras and the rest of the Mediterranean ones. According to forecasts, the ability of these two Moroccan ports should reach the 8.5 million containers in 2015 and will have 2,500 meters of docks. In addition to the renewal of its fleet, the country is making a strong bet for clean energy, specifically wind power in the North of the country.
