H.J. Barreras Forecasts a Sales Record of 500 Million Euros in Two Years

The order book of the shipyard is already complete until 2012 with contacts for building 12 new ships The shipyard has closed contracts for working at full capacity until 2012 and is possible that is already negotiating in advance the first contracts for the year 2013. H.J. Barreras is riding the same wave as other shipyards located in Vigo and is experiencing its best moment in the last 20 years.

The order book submitted by the managers of the company, from which the chairman is Francisco González Viñas, is the following one: four seismic ships; four ferries, between 145 and 193 meters long; as well as a hotel-ship and two container ships; and, if the contact into effect allows it, an additional ferry, depending on the results of other similar ships already ordered by two Spanish shipping lines. In total, the cost of the orders adds up to 1,070 million euros (Source: La Voz de Galicia)
