Saint-Gobain Isover, Weber and Norton present their efficient solutions for shipbuilding at Navalia 2026

Saint-Gobain will highlight solutions designed for thermal and acoustic comfort, fire protection, HVAC systems and technical flooring for marine applications.

Saint-Gobain Isover, the world-leading manufacturer of insulation and climate control solutions; Saint-Gobain Weber, the world-leading manufacturer of mortar solutions; and Norton, the world-leading manufacturer of abrasive solutions, will be present at Navalia 2026, the International Shipbuilding Industry Exhibition, which will take place in Vigo from 19 to 21 May and will bring together more than 20,000 professionals, over 500 exhibitors and representatives from more than 75 countries.

At this edition, Saint-Gobain’s brands are reinforcing their leadership in the sector with a proposal focused on efficient solutions for shipbuilding, designed to respond to the naval and offshore industry’s needs in terms of comfort, energy efficiency, safety and sustainability. During the trade fair, Isover, Weber and Norton will present solutions for insulation, climate control, fire protection, flooring and metal grinding for vessels and offshore platforms at stand 1b17. This proposal reflects Saint-Gobain’s commitment to developing materials and systems that help improve the technical performance of ships, optimise their efficiency and enhance onboard comfort.

Isover brings its experience in developing insulation solutions for naval and offshore projects, designed to meet the specific requirements of the sector. Among the solutions that will be presented at the fair is the ULTIMATE® range and, specifically, ULTIMATE® Sea Protect, a type of mineral wool developed for applications requiring high thermal, acoustic and fire protection performance, with reduced weight compared to equivalent rock wool solutions.
Sea CLIMAVER®, Isover’s self-supporting duct system for HVAC in marine applications, will also play a key role. Developed as an alternative to traditional metal ducts, this solution helps reduce the weight of climate control and ventilation systems on ships, contributing to energy efficiency and better use of vessels’ payload capacity.

For its part, Weber will present weberfloor 4660 MARINE ELASTIC, its flooring solution for naval applications, designed for use on steel, galvanised steel and aluminium decks. It is a self-levelling mortar reinforced with glass fibres that quickly achieves surface strength, helping to speed up execution processes in shipbuilding works.

Norton will complete Saint-Gobain’s proposal at Navalia with its abrasive solutions for cutting, sanding and metal grinding operations, which are particularly relevant in shipbuilding, maintenance and repair processes.

In addition, Saint-Gobain Isover will take part in Navalia’s technical programme with the presentation “SEA CLIMAVER®: today’s naval climate control and the ships of the future. Efficiency, innovation and comfort in HVAC systems for marine applications”, delivered by Daniel Portal, Head of Technical Advisory and Specification for the marine market at Saint-Gobain. The session will take place on 19 May, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., as part of the fair’s technical conferences.

Saint-Gobain’s presence at Navalia 2026, a benchmark event for the sector, reinforces the company’s positioning as a technical partner for the shipbuilding industry, providing solutions adapted to different types of vessels and maritime platforms.
All these solutions reflect Saint-Gobain’s commitment to building better for people and the planet, guided by the Group’s shared purpose: “MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER HOME”.
