Alfa Laval strengthens its commitment to the marine industry in its decisive journey towards decarbonization.
The company will present its solutions and technologies at Navalia to accelerate the transition to efficient and emission-free maritime transport.
Alfa Laval, the Swedish company developing solutions that are driving the energy transition, will take part in the tenth edition of Navalia, the international shipbuilding exhibition held in Vigo from 19–21 May 2026. The event brings together every two years the leading business and institutional players in the maritime industry.
Alfa Laval will be present at stand 1D48 in ICEVI, the Vigo exhibition centre, represented by its Ocean division. There, the company will present and share information about its technologies and solutions focused on alternative fuels, services, and innovations that accelerate the decarbonization of marine transport, as well as its extensive portfolio for vessels.
“The maritime sector is now moving at full speed towards the goal of sustainability and emission-free transport. It’s time to determine which technologies can help adapt low- or zero-emission fuels to the ships sailing today—and to those that will sail 20 or 30 years from now,” says Alicia Rodero, Manager of Alfa Laval’s Ocean (Marine) division. She adds, “That’s why it will be essential to implement solutions that enable decarbonization from day one, regardless of the fuels used temporarily or permanently. This is where innovative, eco-efficient technologies such as wind propulsion and carbon capture come into play.”
Through its Ocean division, Alfa Laval provides solutions and services that help customers decarbonize, save energy, and comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. The company combines its expertise in separation, heat transfer, and fluid handling with the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and alternative fuels. Its goal is to offer ships sustainable solutions in three key areas: energy efficiency, clean energy, and water management.
Alfa Laval’s stand at Navalia will also serve as a meeting point for partners and customers in the maritime industry, as well as a platform for brand visibility and networking through a range of professional and social activities.
