NAVICERTIS: Redefining Maritime Cybersecurity Management

The application will be officially launched during the Navalia Technical Conference on 19 May at 11:00 am

In our role as cybersecurity integrators for shipyards building new vessels (E26 requirements, onboard testing, and certification support), we have identified recurring critical issues such as a lack of documentation from manufacturers and the varying timelines for information delivery from each System under Consideration (SuC). This makes follow-up monitoring difficult and leads to multiple preliminary analyses, resulting in operational inefficiencies.

To address this technical and documentation gap, we have created NAVICERTIS. It is an application that uses advanced analysis tools and natural language processing to help comprehensively audit manufacturers’ documentation. This ensures that we do not overlook any technical details—such as ports or protocols—that are critical to the ship’s safety.

  • The objectives of the application during the construction phase are:
  • Continuous improvement of analyses: We use a knowledge database that grows with Aeromarine’s accumulated experience.
  • Agility in risk analysis: Based on prior intelligence and accumulated experience.
  • Continuous monitoring: Facilitate project control to know at all times the documentation status of each piece of equipment or SuC.
  • Error-free certification: Generate the necessary documentation for certification directly in the format required by each Classification Society.

In addition, once the vessel has been delivered, NAVICERTIS assists the shipowner in developing the Cybersecurity Plan:

  • By reusing all the intelligence gathered during construction to quickly generate new documentation.
  • Creating a common framework that can be applied to the rest of the fleet’s vessels.
  • Managing and organizing policies, guidelines, response plans, and the technical tests conducted on board.

NAVICERTIS will be officially launched during the Navalia Technical Conference on 19 May at 11:00 am in Room 1 – Pontevedra Provincial Council.
