ELCOME EUROPE will integrate Amazon LEO to enhance in-flight connectivity

The technology will be added to the Welcome maritime connectivity programme.

ELCOME EUROPE will incorporate Amazon LEO into its maritime connectivity offering following an agreement reached by the group’s parent company, ELCOME International, for the marketing and distribution of this technology.

This initiative reflects the ELCOME Group’s commitment to innovation and to developing solutions that improve connectivity whilst at sea. Amazon LEO technology will be integrated into the Welcome programme, the solution developed by ELCOME that provides on-board internet access points whilst the vessel is at sea. With this addition, the programme expands its capabilities and reinforces its objective of oDering more reliable connectivity tailored to the current
needs of the maritime sector.

Through its European oDice, the group will continue to bring these technological solutions to shipowners and operators in the regional market, thereby reinforcing its commitment to improving the connectivity experience in the maritime sector. “The integration of Amazon LEO represents a significant step towards further strengthening our in-flight connectivity oDering by combining it with Starlink and VSAT. At the same time, ELCOME is developing a new product that will oDer various onboard connectivity options, expanding the alternatives available to the sector.
