Rodman shipbuilding group celebrates half a century of history in Moaña

Its president Mr Manuel Rodríguez, who aims to build 50-metre yachts, brings together authorities from all over Galicia at the shipyard

Rodman has celebrated its half-century of history at their facilities in Moaña. In an event attended by the Galician authorities, representatives of the country's security forces, clients, family and friends, the president of the group, Manuel Rodríguez, reviewed the entire history of the group since it was founded as a small workshop in Ribadavia neighbourhood, in the centre of Vigo.

The shipbuilder reference was born as a pioneer in its sector when it discovered the possibilities of polyester with fibreglass, the material they have built a good part of their catalogue with, and which differentiates Rodman's workmanship in the industry. Patrol boats, catamarans and pleasure boats sustain the heritage of the group from Moaña, although Manuel Rodríguez also does not forget its most emblematic deliveries such as ‘Sea Cloud Spirit’ or ‘Maybe’. Now, he advanced, the shipyard will try to extend its legacy with fifty-metre-long yachts.
