The Spanish Maritime Cluster and Educación Azul join forces to promote vocations in the blue economy
They position themselves as key players in the transformation and sustainable growth of the maritime industry by bringing young talent into the sector.
The Spanish Maritime Cluster (CME) has signed a collaboration agreement with the Blue Education association, with the aim of promoting and developing the blue economy and encouraging professional vocations in the maritime sector among Spanish society, especially among young people.
The agreement, signed by the president of the CME, Javier Garat Pérez, and the president of Educación Azul, Mercedes Pardo Gil-Alberdi, represents a significant step forward for both institutions in their efforts to bring the maritime sector closer to the population and to highlight its strategic importance for the economic and social development of Spain. Thus, the agreement establishes the terms and conditions of this collaboration to advance the following specific objectives: to increase the number of professional vocations in the maritime sector and its different subsectors, and to improve Spanish society's knowledge of the blue economy.
