Irish Gazelle acquires galician naval engineering company F. Carceller

Engineering from Vigo will accelerate the technical development of Gazelle floating -Offshore Wind platform
Gazelle's marine approach to construction creates synergies for both companies, making this acquisition a practical fit to help the Dublin-based company accelerate the technical development of its floating offshore wind platform.
F. Carceller will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of Gazelle, while continuing to focus on the commercial fishing, marine and shipping sectors. As part of this transaction, Pablo Carceller has been appointed CEO and director of F. Carceller. The Carceller family continues to be a major shareholder in the company.
José Ramón Antón Vilasánchez will continue to be the Technical Director. Íñigo Zavala Ortiz de la Torre (Vice-President of the CEOE's Corporate Social Responsibility Commission) will hold the position of President of Carceller's board of directors, which also includes Ena Carballo, Gazelle's General Counsel, and Valentín de Torres-Solanot del Pino, Spanish businessman and entrepreneur.
"This agreement allows us to continue serving shipowners and shipyards needs with maximum capacity, while offering us and our clients a way to access the flourishing market for Offshore Wind energy," said Pablo Carceller. "Gazelle's unique offshore platform, working in harmony with fish brokers, makes this partnership an ideal fit for both companies."
Specialization in ship and marine structures services
Since 1988, F. Carceller and their naval architects and engineers are specialized in providing technical and consulting services for ships and marine structures in over 1,300 projects. Using the latest technologies - including state-of-the-art 3D spatial scanning - F. Carceller is equipped to offer a wide range of unique services that will extend Gazelle's in-house capabilities, including design, refurbishment and conversion, stability calculations, technical manuals, management construction, appraisals and much more.
"The perfect reputation, knowledge and experience of F. Carceller have consolidated it as one of the main naval engineering and consulting companies in Spain for the last 35 years; its experience in the maritime market will be key for Gazelle in the transition to a new and exciting phase of development for both our company and Offshore Wind industry," said Gazelle CEO Jon Salazar. "Through F. Carceller's team of world-class technical personnel, Gazelle is best positioned to accelerate engineering processes, project development, R&D and overall innovation activity," he adds.
This acquisition represents a critical addition to Gazelle's technical capabilities as it continues its mission to unlock, enable and accelerate Offshore Wind industry. The Irish company also has offices in Dubai, London, Madrid, Paris, and Texas.
