New IEO oceanographic has been called for tender

Estimated value is EUR 70 million

The Official State Gazette publishes in its edition of Thursday, February the 11th , the tender notice for the new oceanographic vessel for the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO). The estimated value of the construction is 70 million euros and the deadline for the delivery of applications will be February the 24th.

The award criteria are set out in the contract notice. The economic tender is the most important, with a 22% weighting. The design and distribution of scientific and technical spaces as well as the solution of technical equipment on deck will contribute 14% respectively. On-board comfort, total fuel consumption or diesel fuel consumption in static DP mode shall add up to 8 per cent respectively. LNG’s motorised range and additional equipment upgrades will account for 5% each while the ship’s efficient navigation conditions management system will account for 4%.
