Cardama introduces a new vessel specialized in the collection of sargassum

"Algatros" project has been performed in cooperation with the company Beach Trotters.

Cardama shipyard introduces at Sarg’Expo 2019 the "Algatros", a new vessel specialized in the collection of sargassum as well as other seaweed and marine waste, such as plastic.

This project, carried out in cooperation with BEACH TROTTERS, an expert company in the manufacture of coastal cleaning machinery and floating barriers, has started to solve a very serious problem in the tourist regions of the Caribbean Sea, where sargassum is causing a serious economic and environmental impact. The preliminary design has been fully developed at Cardama Shipyard and it has 45 m-Length and capacity for 300 tons of this seaweed.
