Metalships & Docks will build a "premium" sail cruiser of 138 meters in length
It will be the second largest ship in the world with these characteristics - The delivery time is 18 months, with a workload for 350 employees - It will have capacity for 136 passengers
The Vigo shipyard Metalships & Docks has already tied the contract for the construction of an ultrapremium sailing cruiser of 138 meters in length and 17 of beam, with which it will shape the second largest vessel of these characteristics in active today in all the world. The order, for a German shipowner, will provide the company - owned by the Rodman group - with around 750,000 work hours, equivalent to the creation of employment for 350 workers. The term of execution of the contract, which has already entered into force, is 18 months. It is the first order signed by Metalships since December 2017, when the construction of an 80 meter trawler was awarded to the Niisa Trawl shipbuilder, the Regina C, a design by the prestigious Skipsteknisk technical office. The delivery of this freezer trawler, which will operate in Arctic waters, is scheduled for the coming weeks.
