Naviera Armas signs with Barreras, the construction of the biger ferry of its kind

The 190 meters in length and with a capacity for 1,800 passengers ferry is the largest of its kind built in Spain. Vigo shipyard already built other two ships to the Canary Islands shipping company

Naviera Armas and the shipyard from Vigo Barreras signed yesterday the contract for the construction of a ship type ferry, 190 meters in length and with a capacity for 1,800 passengers ferry, that will bethe largest of its kind built in Spain. It is an improved version of the vessel "Volcán del Teide" and " Volcán de Tinamar", which also made Barreras and were delivered in January and June of 2011
Naviera Armas y el astillero vigués Barreras firmaron ayer el contrato para la construcción de un buque tipo ferry de 190 metros de eslora y capacidad para 1.800 pasajeros, que será, en el momento de su entrega, el mayor de su clase construido en España. Se trata de una versión mejorada de los buques "Volcán del Teide" y "Volcán de Tinamar", que también hizo Barreras y que fueron entregados en enero y junio de 2011, on which various improvements have been introduced.
