Nodosa will build the first collection and processing mussel on board factory vessel
From the shipyard, that has become a reference for the fishing fleet renewal, informs that this initiative is still at an early stage
The shipyard Nodosa will design and build the first Factory ship for the collection and processing on board of mussel. The ship will be 28 meters long and apart from the common machinery of this kind of vessels, will include new technology for the shelling and deworming of raw mollusk, in addition to a system for the food separation and control of effluents. It is a project, named Ecomytilus, which counts on the participation of other Galician brands: Alfogar, Barlovento and Gerfico. Is one of the initiatives chosen by the CDTI for the allocation of Feder-Interconnecta funding.
