A Galician company launches a drone vessel for defense and rescue

The unmanned vessel can transport until 15 people and its launch is foreseen in six months
Its baptism of sea is foreseen in six months, but it has name already. Its name is 'El Defensor' and it is the first design, engineering and building drone (unmanned) vessel a hundred per cent Galician in shipyards from Pontevedra and Lugo.
It is a Mar Naveo project, a company located in Lugo, created by Aeronáutica de Galicia together with Breogán Ingeniería for the development of the vessel that already has several purchase proposals.
Andrés Rodríguez, president of Breogán Ingeniería, explains that it is an autonomous ship 7.75 meters long and 2.8 wide with three possible configurations: for observation and vigilance tasks of maritime zones; for defense; and also for maritime safety missions.
'We are small, but with talent' assures Andrés Rodríguez who trust the good commercial reception of El Defensor, a project financed only with own funds without any government help.
