The Basque shipyard Zamakona closes the contract of one 22 Millions vessel for Norway

The Basque shipyard Zamakona have just attribute the contract for a new vessel of alive fish transport for Norway of 250 Million Noks (around 22 Millions Euros), according the ship-owner, the consortium Sølvtrans Holdings ASA. This 75.8 meters long ship will be similar than the Roina Polarias constructed by the Basque company, that has a preliminary agreement to attribute two new units by the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015. Zamakona's contract could be closed thanks to a combination of bank credits and shareholders funding. The vessel that will be delivered at the beginning of 2014 has 3.200 cubic meters and it is specialized in the transport of alive fish for the aquiculture industry. According the CEO of Sølvtrans, Zamakona's election was due to "good experiences" of the holding with the Rojna Polarias (Source: Faro de Vigo)
