The porto of Suape and the main associations of the Brazilian Naval sector will visit NAVALIA 2010
Simmepe, Fiepe and Sinaval try to know first hand information about Galician companies. Organizers of the exhibition will prepare also al parallel program that allows these institutions to visit the Port of Vigo installations and the city shipyards. The port of Suape (Pernambuco) and the main naval sector Brazilian associations will travel in May to our city to visit the third edition of NAVALIA.
Exhibition organizers, moved these days to Pernambuco in a commercial mission run by the Port of Vigo, is meeting with different associations and companies of the sector in order to promote the exhibition with just 3 months left of its inauguration. The Metallurgic, Mechanics and Electrical Material Industries Trade Union of the State of Pernambuco (Simmepe), the Federation of Industries of the State of Pernambuco (Fiepe) and the National Association of the Construction Industry, Ship Repair and Offshore of Brazil (Sinaval) have shown their interest in knowing first hand information about how the Galician companies work, therefore NAVALIA will be a good opportunity to make business. In this sense, organizers of the event will prepare also a parallel program to NAVALIA for these entities can visit the installations of the Port of Vigo as well as city shipyards. Confirmations of Siepe and Sinaval were made yesterday in the afternoon whereas the one of Simmepe was made this morning. This trade union is the oldest business organization of the industrial sector in Pernambuco, with more than 70 years old and founded in 1934. The entity's aim is to represent to all companies that make up the industrial line, composed by the metallurgic, mechanical and electric and electronic material sectors. These four sectors add up approximately 700 companies, that mean the 21% of the industrial GDP of the state of Pernambuco.
The delegation of Vigo, led by the president of the Port Authority of Vigo, Mrs. Corina Porro, have met the government of Pernambuco, trough its Secretary of economic Development, organization that also have promise to visit the exhibition in May to participate in the first International Congress of Ship Owners organized by the APV and that will be held coinciding with NAVALIA 2010.
