THE NEW CONTRACTS THAT THE EUROPEAN SHIPYARDS SIGNED IN 2005 INCREASED MORE THAN IN CHINA
They grew a 5,6 %, opposite to the 4,1 % of China, the only Asian country in which they rose The European shipyards signed in 2005 a 5,6 % of new contracts more than the previous year in terms of compensated tonnage, totalizing 7,2 millions of CGT, according to the information published by the Community of European Shipyard Associations (CESA). Those of China increased 4,1 % (reaching 5,9 million CGT), whereas those of South Korea got down a 13 % (up to 14 millions), and those of Japan, almost 60 % (up to 8,5 millions).
