Navalia visits Seatrade Miami 2005

International Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry Exhibition visited USA to present the Galician Naval Sector to Florida's companies NAVALIA, International Shipbuilding and maritime Industry Exhibition, that will take place in Vigo from the 23rd to the 25th of May of the next year, began their promotion in the international market with a visit to the SEATRADE Exhibition, in Miami, fair specialized in the world of the cruises and to which every year the main shipyards and North American shipbuilders go, as well as a part of the port authorities worldwide. In SeaTrade Miami were present the last new features in marine security or facilities on board.
From the 15 to the 17 of March, Navalia maintained interviews with representatives of Ports of Spain, France or Italy, as well as with as prestigious shipbuilders as Cunard or P&O, with the objective to present the potential of Galician naval industry. Also the national pavilions of countries like Brazil, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Norway or United Kingdom were visited. Finally, and meetings with the Diplomatic Representation of Spain in the capital of Florida stayed.
After the good news relative to the naval industry in Spain, as well as the new orders of shipbuilders and companies of marine transport, the naval sector is reinforced and allows to follow mainly in the line of years 2002 and 2003, the year of greater manufacture of ships in the history of the naval construction. Before Miami, the representatives of Navalia were in Sinaval, in which were maintained interviews with present Basque and Galician companies of the sector, as well as with the main specialized magazines of the naval world.
Between next countries where Navalia will do a strong diffusion of the Galician naval industry are Norway (June 2005) and Holland (September 2005).
