Navalia 2026 will have a special traffic management operation in place

Government Subdelegate, Abel Losada, coordinated the meeting to ensure smooth mobility and safety during the trade fair.

The Government Subdelegate in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, chaired this morning’s coordination meeting on traffic and security arrangements for the tenth edition of Navalia, which will take place at the IFEVI exhibition centre in Vigo from May 19th to 21st. During the meeting, the arrival of visitors, exhibitors, and authorities throughout the fair was organized, along with the regulation of authorized parking areas.

Abel Losada highlighted the unstoppable growth of Spain’s leading shipbuilding trade fair and one of the foremost events in Europe, noting that this year it will feature the representation of 1,200 brands and over 500 exhibitors from 75 countries. The traffic management plan will be similar to those implemented for other major events held at IFEVI.

One of the issues discussed during the meeting was the simultaneous presence, in one of the IFEVI pavilions, of the military contingent preparing for the Armed Forces Day celebrations in Vigo, whose programme of events begins on May 26th. This presence will also affect operations at Peinador Airport.
Navalia director Javier Díaz Arnau presented all the organizational details of the trade fair and, based on the available information, coordination was adjusted with the Civil Guard Traffic Division, the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, the local police forces from Vigo and Mos, and the National Police. Representatives from the State Roads Provincial Unit, AUDASA, and IFEVI also took part in the meeting.
