- CONFIRMED DATES -

Navalia 2026 will take another step in sustainability by installing a point of water generated from ambient humidity

Spanish company Genaq and the trade fair have signed an agreement strengthening the event's environmental commitment.

Navalia trade fair has just signed a collaboration agreement with the technology company GENAQ, specialized in solutions to generate water from atmospheric humidity. This agreement is part of Navalia’ s Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability strategy in its tenth edition, to be held from 19th to 21st of May 2026, in Vigo.

This agreement represents a further step in Navalia's environmental policy, which in recent years has implemented measures aimed at reducing paper consumption, recycling trade fair materials, and improving energy efficiency. The main new feature this year is a dedicated space offering potable water generated directly from ambient humidity, an innovative solution that reduces consumption of traditional water resources and minimizes the event's environmental impact.

GENAQ, a Spanish company with an international presence, develops systems capable of producing potable water in any environment with no hydraulic infrastructure, using technologies that capture moisture from the air and transform it into drinking water. This solution, aligned with the principles of sustainability and efficiency, integrates seamlessly into the Navalia ecosystem, which is increasingly focused on the blue economy and responsible innovation.

Both entities emphasize the value of this collaboration, which will not only allow for the implementation of sustainable solutions during the trade fair but also raise awareness within the shipbuilding sector about the importance of adopting technologies that contribute to reducing environmental impact.

With this agreement, Navalia reinforces its commitment to its code of ethics regarding environmental protection and advances the future implementation of a comprehensive sustainability plan, with a particular focus on resource optimization and consumption reduction, in this case related to water.
