Navalia integrates into Cadiz & Canary Islands maritime clusters

This move reinforces its role as a platform connecting regions, facilitating dialogue between companies and institutions and boosting Spanish shipbuilding sector

Navalia trade fair has just formalized its entry into Cádiz Maritime Cluster and the Canary Islands Maritime Cluster, thus strengthening its ties with two of the most important strategic hubs for the Spanish shipbuilding industry and consolidating a relationship that has been naturally developing in recent years through business collaboration and the organization of industry events.

In this regard, it is worth noting that Navalia has held its Navalia Meeting business event in these two regions, a format promoted and held in odd-numbered years. Navalia Meeting 2023 took place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, while Navalia Meeting 2025 was held in Cádiz, two locations that reflect the significant role Andalusia and Canary Islands play within the national shipbuilding ecosystem. Both events brought together companies, clusters, institutions, and professionals from the sector, fostering knowledge exchange and the generation of business opportunities.

Cádiz and Canary Islands represent strategic locations for the shipbuilding industry, both due to their geographical position and their specialization in areas such as ship repair, the defence industry, maritime logistics, offshore wind energy, and the blue economy. Their integration into these naval clusters reinforces Navalia's commitment to a decentralized, collaborative, and unifying vision for the sector, in which the various maritime and naval regions of Spain work in a coordinated manner.

In recent years, this collaboration has led to business agreements and joint projects between companies from Galicia, Cádiz, and the Canary Islands, highlighting the complementarity of their industrial capabilities. As a result of this dynamic, several companies from the Cádiz and Canary Islands shipbuilding sectors have established operations in Galicia, strengthening the value chain and contributing to the industrial development of the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.

With this integration, Navalia reinforces its role as a platform connecting territories, facilitating dialogue between clusters, companies and institutions and promoting growth in the Spanish shipbuilding industry.
