Navalia and Cádiz Free Trade Zone have been jointly awarded the 2025 Federico Esteve Prize from the Spanish Maritime Cluster in Competitiveness category, which recognizes the impact and relevance of both entities in the maritime sector. The jury for these awards considered the outstanding work carried out by both entities to hold the Blue Zone Forum-Navalia Meeting 2025 last September in Cádiz, which was a resounding success in terms of participation and attendance.
Santiago Sio, Key Account Manager of DNV, presented the award at a ceremony held at Madrid’s Casino following the conclusion of the organization's 49th Assembly, which was attended by more than one hundred people.
The Federico Esteve Awards, an event that brings together leading figures in the maritime sector each year, are named after the former president of the Spanish Maritime Cluster and member of the Royal Academy of the Sea. These awards, which have several categories, recognize the work and commitment of companies and institutions within the sector that make a difference in several strategic areas of the industry. In this edition, additionally to the Competitiveness award, awarded to the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and Navalia, Vigo’s Port Authority was also recognized for International Projection; Azul education for Communication; SATEC for Technology and Innovation; and the Civil Guard for Social Welfare.
