The future on board is electrical

Several technical conferences related to electrical equipment will be held during Navalia Exhibition; the electric propulsion, electric deck equipment, its benefits and the current situation.

The electric propulsion systems will be presented by Hallvard Slettevoll, CEO of the Norwegian company, STADT, who will explain the system "Lean Propulsion". It is a unique patented AC drive system for ships. The electric propulsion, including diesel-electric and LNG-electric solutions, are designed with the use of Lean AC drives, where the battery options are also integrated.

More than 1500 Vessels has onboard Rappmarine Winches. This experience has given the company a unique opportunity to develop advanced electrical deck machinery solutions with the latest technology to fishing, research, offshore and workboats. Rapp Marine VP Sales Morten Stenkjær and Tor Idar Øye will share this experience explaining the latest technology on electric Winches. RappMarine has recently been included into the MacGregor Group.

At the beginning of the year, SDEA Solutions and STADT has inked a cooperation and representation agreement for the Spanish market. RappMarine is also represented by SDEA Solutions since 2016.
