Only a couple of months before the International Shipbuilding Exhibition of Vigo to open its doors, with the intention of being the best edition since its creation. The figures augur it, but the management continues working and thinks about the future. The Executive Board of the exhibition held a working lunch this morning with the presence of the president of Puertos del Estado, José Llorca Ortega.

This was a “strategic meeting for Navalia”, as described by the President of the exhibition, José García Costas. “It is obvious to say most of the installations of the naval sector are in harbour grounds and that our sector has its fundamental purpose thanks to the traffic of passengers and goods” has explained. In this sense, the organization of Navalia has verified the relevance of the port authorities in other international events of the naval sector, such as Seatrade Miami, Europort Rotterdam or the naval exhibition of Dubai. “This is why we want to count with the support and presence of these institutions on the next editions, and with the future expansion of the fairground of Vigo we see our opportunities opened up, thus we are constructing a new cornerstone for Navalia 2020”, as ensured by García Costas.

Regarding the last figures of this new edition, the CEO of Navalia, Javier Arnau, has presented the data to the members of the Executive Board, explaining this will be “surely the best one held until now”. In the absence of the new pavilion, which is still under construction, and within a month, pavilions 1 and 2 are complete, and the organization has been working in the spaces of the third pavilion for months, already with 50% exhibitor occupation, in addition to the spaces devoted to Business meetings and Technical seminars. The figures increase in 30% the number of exhibitors, compared to Navalia 2016. Arnau has also confirmed the attendance of delegations from Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Peru, Canada and Cabo Verde, the last one received.
