Navalia meets naval sector business owners at Colombiamar
Colombian shipyards are interested to become part of the new Navalia’s edition in their aim of new agreements with European companies. They understand Galicia will be the front door to our continent. At the same time, meetings with the metal cluster have been hold, together with Venezuela and Peru shipyard representatives.
Thanking to Aclunaga (Galician Naval Cluster), Navalia has participate at Colombiamar hold from the 14th to the 17th of March in Cartagena de Indias. Within those days, Navalia met with several company’s delegations of countries from the American continent.
Colombian naval sector, mainly focused on the army industry with their shipyard Cotecmar, has also been specialized in barges or river boats, something where the Galician naval industry has broad experience.
Colombiamar has closed its doors with success, it is now the most important naval industry trade fair in Latin-America and the V International Congress in Design and Naval engineering. With 3,198 people attended it has surpassed its previous edition on a 93%.
The most important to be emphasized is the increment of business negotiations within the trade fair, $105 million were registered as result of 385 meetings of 110 participants in the trade meetings and 6 international maritime companies.
