Elsa Punset's Optimistic Speech Opens Navalia Meeting- Blue Zone Forum second day

Round tables and specialised forums on a wide range of topics, such as offshore wind power and shipbuilding, featured prominently in the day's programme.

Writer and communicator Elsa Punset, one of the most recognised voices in emotional intelligence, opened the second day of the Navalia Meeting 2025-Blue Zone Forum with an inspiring and engaging speech, encouraging optimism and a positive mindset as key tools for improving our wellbeing and enhancing our lives. “We must protect our joy,” she affirmed.

As on Wednesday, the day was packed with valuable insights and knowledge shared by experts from different sectors. In the morning, a round table discussion on offshore wind power was held, moderated by José Luis Trillo, Director of the company Atridel. The panel included Rodrigo Ballesteros, Senior Adviser to the Norwegian Embassy in Spain; José Luis Inogés, Head of Business Development at Navantia Seanergies; and César Martín, Head of Infrastructure in the Competitiveness and Innovation Department of the Las Palmas Port Authority.

Following lunch break, the naval sector took centre stage with a round table titled “The Spanish Naval Industry from a Regional Perspective: The View of Regional Clusters and Associations.” Session moderated by Javier Garat, President of the Spanish Maritime Cluster, and included contributions from the leaders of the Andalucian and Balearic Islands clusters, as well as the Naval and Maritime Technology Centre.

The second part of the round table was moderated by the President of the Cádiz Maritime Naval Cluster and featured representatives from the Basque Maritime Forum and the clusters of Galicia, Cantabria and the Canary Islands.
