Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente will open Blue Zone Forum-Navalia Meeting 2025

The meeting will be held at the Cádiz Conference Center from September 24 to 26
Biologist and science communicator Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente will open this year's Blue Zone Forum-Navalia Meeting 2025 with an inaugural address following the event's official ceremony, which will be held at the Cádiz Conference Center from November 24 to 26.
Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente's presentation will be the first of several major presentations to take place during the event, which will bring together experts linked to the Blue Economy and the shipbuilding and industry in Cádiz capital, transforming Cádiz into an international forum for entrepreneurs, companies, institutions, experts, and speakers. There will also be, as in previous years, a stand area for exhibitors and sponsors.
Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente has followed in the footsteps of her father, the renowned naturalist Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, who captivated an entire generation in the 1970s. A pioneer in the defence of nature in our country, he made documentaries for RTVE that are among the best in the history of Spanish radio and television.
His daughter has picked up and expanded the mantle. She is a biologist and educator who has managed to build her own career based on sensitivity, science, and a deep awareness of the planet we inhabit, addressing a young audience primarily to try to change the way they relate to the environment.
Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente's presentation will lead into a series of activities, talks, workshops, roundtables, and live demonstrations, among other activities, which make up a packed agenda.
The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, highlighted the importance of the presence of figures as prominent as Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente, "who confirm that Cádiz and the Blue Zone Forum are a national and international benchmark, attracting and hosting prestigious experts and making our city the leading forum for the sector. We have a responsibility to raise awareness about the Blue Economy, environment, and improving the sector through technological innovation; to promote and encourage entrepreneurship, especially among young talent; and to support the business community."
