The naval cluster brings together in Santiago Experts from United Kingdom and Portugal

Distinguished investigators from universities and technological centres from Portugal, United Kingdom and Galicia will participate next 26th of January, in Santiago de Compostela in an international conference organized by the Galician naval cluster (Aclunaga) which aim is to promote innovation in Galician naval companies, and fundamentally in the ones belonged from the auxiliary sector. With this meeting collaboration between business sector and technological centres and universities will be boosted in order to favour technological transfers, which a very important aspect to gain competitiveness. Expert participants have been chosen in collaboration with members of the project Aux-Navalia, to identify leader investigation organizations and specialized in interesting lines for the naval sector. On the Spanish participation, the speakers will be Fundación Calidad which acts as project coordinator and Aclunaga which represents the Galician naval sector. Portugal will be represented by Bic Minho and the association of Maritime Industries (AIM), and the Brittish collaboration will be Shipbuilders & Shiprepair Association (SAA) and the University of StrathClyde-Glasgow. Nine investigators from the three countries will present its investigation groups and projects and will describe the services they offer, with the aim of boost collaboration between technological centres, universities and naval sector companies. Interested companies and investigation groups from the naval sector will have the opportunity of meet with investigators in order to define specific lines of action that allows them to develop together collaboration projects. (SOURCE: Faro de Vigo)Los expertos participantes han sido seleccionados en colaboración con los socios del proyecto Aux-Navalia, con el fin de identificar organismos de investigación punteros y especializados en líneas de interés para el sector naval. Por la parte española realizarán sus correspondientes exposiciones representantes de la Fundación Calidad, que actúa como jefe de fila y de Aclunaga, en representación del sector naval gallego.
Portugal estará representado por Bic Minho y la Asociaçao das Indústrias Marítimas (AIM) y la colaboración británica vendrá de la mano de la asociación Shipbuilders & Shiprepairers Association (SAA) y la Universidad de StrathClyde-Glasgow.
En concreto nueve investigadores, procedentes de los tres países, presentarán sus grupos y proyectos de investigación y describirán los servicios que ofrecen, con el objetivo de potenciar la colaboración entre los centros tecnológicos y universidades, y las empresas del sector naval. Las empresas interesadas y los grupos de investigación del ámbito naval que lo deseen tendrán la oportunidad de mantener reuniones con los investigadores para definir líneas de actuación concretas que les permitan desarrollar de forma conjunta proyectos de colaboración.
