The maritime group draws up a strategic plan reflecting its commitment to new technologies

The Galician maritime group have drawn up a 12-point strategic plan aimed at improving productivity among its associate companies and ensuring the future of those industries working within the IT sector which is currently undergoing a veritable boom in terms of activity. In the short term, the programme will reflect the challenge faced in encouraging business cooperation formulas as a kind of instrument with which to improve industry, looking out for approaches “which show a tendency to improve the financial capacity and professional management potential of companies”.
Business leaders have shown their commitment to seeking to consolidate the regional offer of new technologies to the sector and to encourage the creation of “new auxiliary companies capable of responding to business needs, thus allowing greater value to be created by the maritime industry”.
The modernisation of the company’s facilities, as well as the development of a number of R+D+i projects “with a clear view to situating the associate companies at the cutting edge of innovation. This commitment to innovative development is closely linked to other key objectives of the plan, the internacionalisation of the auxiliary industry.

Foreign Staff
The Aclunaga executive board of directors have also decided to head up a project which seeks to facilitate the employment of suitably qualified foreign workers to cover the deficit of staff within the sector.
At its last meeting, the incorporation of four new partners was approved, with the group now comprised of 147 companies, the majority of which are operating out of a base in Galicia. (Source: La Voz de Galicia).
