The Vigo Ship Owners Promote the First Fishing Technology Cluster

José Ramón Fuertes, Managing Director of the ARVI (Vigo Ship Owners Association) has confirmed said promotion yesterday and underlined that “is important and interesting for the sector to invest on R+D+I, the Vigo Ship Owners Association is committed to do so since a few years ago.” The initiative of creating a fishing sector cluster was idea of the business associations of the city; twelve associations have approved to join the cluster –some of them nationwide such as, Arpoan or Cerco-, both local production companies associations – the fresh fish one and the frozen fish one - and ARVI too.

Fuertes informed that joint ventures of the sector have also joined the project through their association, Acemix. (Source: Faro de Vigo)
