Zamakona wins contracts for deliveries in 2023

The new orders will enable the shipyard to increase its order book by more than 130 million euros.

Zamakona has recently managed to consolidate its order book with the winning of three new contracts for the construction of two tuna freezer vessels for an international shipowner and an offshore tugboat specialised in rescue and maritime assistance for SASEMAR (Maritime Rescue). The contracts will become effective in the coming weeks and deliveries will take place in 2023.

These three new contracts will allow Zamakona to increase its order book by more than 130 million Euros. The new vessels represent more than 900,000 man-hours of work over the next two and a half years.

Zamakona has extensive experience in the construction of fishing vessels, having delivered 6 tuna vessels for Echebastar and Nicra 7. As far as deep-sea tugs are concerned, this new construction will be the third vessel awarded by SASEMAR to Zamakona after the deliveries of the "Don Inda" and "Clara Campoamor" in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

In addition, Zamakona is carrying out sea trials of a reefer vessel for the Greenlandic shipping company Royal Arctic Line and is in the process of building a pelagic trawler for the Danish group Gitte Henning AS and two live fish transport vessels for the Norwegian shipping company Intership AS.
